This is a performative, sonic, and visual project led by Alicia Arévalo, Pau Jiménez and Alv Adina, aimed at exploring interspecies relationships through collective creation. We draw inspiration from the Mixotricha Paradoxa, a holobiont cell referenced by Haraway, to delve into the necessity of diverse configurations for life. Through our project, we experiment with sympoietic configurations as novel ways of cohabiting and expanding our bodies within the context of the eco-social crisis we currently face. Our sonic prostheses generate music when interacted with, while the visual components operate on the same plane as sound, varying in response to movements and contact. The piece comprises 5 elements - 3 prosthetic bodies and 2 human bodies - mirroring the complexity of the Paradoxa, which is composed of 5 types of genomes. Only through the harmonious conjunction of all elements can the complete mechanism function effectively.
